    In Wanaparthy, Arya Vaisya women celebrated the ‘Gorintaku’ festival. This event took place at the Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari temple in Pebbair town on Friday.

    The priests decorated the deity especially for this occasion. Women performed special prayers to ‘Amma’ and celebrated by applying ‘Gorintaku’ (henna) on their hands.

    Some of the Vaisya women who took part in the festivities included Kavitha, Radhika, Nirmala, Bhargavi, Geetha, Sumalatha, Latha, Srilata, Ramadevi, Lakshmi, Sandhya, Bhagyalakshmi, Arundhati, and Anita.
