    In Badradri Kothagudem district, District Collector Mr. Jitesh V Patil, IAS, ordered awareness rallies on sickle cell anemia disease to be organized at all Anganwadi Centers by the Women and Child Welfare Department. Sickle cell anemia is a disease that affects the hemoglobin in our body, leading to decreased hemoglobin levels, anemia, lethargy, and susceptibility to various diseases like heart pain, paralysis, blood clots, beauty, gallstones, pregnancy issues, organ damage, and more.

    The medical and health department is prepared to conduct sickle cell anemia tests for everyone. District welfare officer Ms. Velpula Witsya, CDPOs, supervisors, Anganwadi teachers, health visitors, ANMs, and Ashas from all projects participated in the program to raise awareness and prevent sickle cell anemia.
