Woman receives Rs 2.5L under SC inter-caste marriage scheme to support social inclusion

District Collector BM Santosh granted financial support to a couple under the Scheduled Caste Inter-Caste Marriage incentive scheme on Monday. The scheme is managed by the SC Welfare Department.

Speaking at the event, the Collector encouraged people to take advantage of government welfare programs. He emphasized the importance of such schemes in supporting eligible beneficiaries.

He announced that Lakshmi, a resident of Gadwal town and wife of Surya Prakash, received an incentive of ₹2,50,000 for her inter-caste marriage under the Scheduled Caste category. This amount was provided in the form of a fixed deposit bond through the Scheduled Castes Development Department.
