Heavy rain and strong winds hit Nagarkurnool district on Friday evening, making the entire area feel cold. Many roads in the center of the district were flooded due to the rain.
In Taduru village of Uppunanthala mandal in Acchampeta division, a woman named Shyamalamma, aged 45, was killed by lightning while working in an agricultural field. She was sitting under a neem tree to shield herself from the rain when she was struck and tragically lost her life. The village is mourning her death.
The incident has left a somber mood in the village.
