The BJP leadership has chosen Rao Padma as their candidate for the Warangal West constituency in the upcoming Assembly elections. It is expected that the BJP will announce their first list soon. In the 2014 elections, Rao Padma tried for the Warangal West ticket but was asked to contest from Warangal East instead. This time, she has become the president of BJP Warangal Urban and has faced opposition from senior leaders. Rao Padma has a clean image and is known for serving the people. She faced competition from A Rakesh Reddy for the Warangal West ticket. Rao Padma’s husband was previously associated with the TRS.
