WhatsApp, which Meta owns, has already begun rolling out a “high-quality video sending feature,” which is said to allow users to send videos with size restrictions.
However, it is not stopping there. WhatsApp has recently added a new feature known as ‘Link with Phone Number’ to the Android Beta.
Instead of scanning the QR code, the ‘Link with phone number’ feature will now allow users to log in to their accounts using their phone number and a one-time 8-character passcode. Users can easily access their WhatsApp accounts by selecting the ‘Link with Phone Number’ option via WhatsApp Web when on a Desktop.
Users who select this option securely enter their account using their 10-digit phone number and security passcode. The new version of WhatsApp with the ‘link with phone number’ feature is already being tested with Beta testers. It is likely that it will attract more users to its new feature in the near future.
