    Revenue Minister Launches New Diet Programme in Tribal Schools

    Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy introduced a new diet programme at the Tribal Gurukul Boys’ School and College in Thirumalayapalem Mandal, Mahmadapuram, located in the Paleru constituency. During the event, the minister criticized the previous government for neglecting the welfare of poor children over the last ten years. He highlighted that during Indiramma’s rule, diet charges for hostel students were increased by 40%, and cosmetic charges were raised by 250%, benefiting students in hostels.

    Deputy Chief Minister Addresses Student Welfare

    In Madhira, Khammam, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu blamed the previous BRS leadership for the poor health of students in residential schools. At Bonakal Mahatma Jyothiba Pule Residential School, he launched the new diet menu and emphasized the government’s efforts in clearing long-pending mess bills left by the BRS rulers. “This demonstrates our government’s commitment to the future of students,” he said.

    Diet Plan to Benefit Welfare Hostels and Gurukuls

    Tourism and Culture Minister Jupally Krishna Rao stated that the increased diet and cosmetic charges would benefit thousands of students across welfare hostels and gurukul schools in the state. On Saturday, he inaugurated the new diet plan at the Social Welfare Department Girls’ Residential School in Kollapur town, Nagarkurnool district, alongside Kollapur Municipal Chairperson Mekala Ramya and other officials.

    Programme Launched in Other Districts

    In Khammam, Commissioner of Police Sunil Dutt launched the programme at the Telangana Minority Girls Residential School and College on Gollagudem Road in Khammam Urban Mandal. Similarly, MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy led the inaugural celebrations of the diet menu at the Telangana Girls’ Gurukulam in Choutuppal town center.

    Wanaparthy Collector Encourages Students

    Wanaparthy Collector Adarsh Surabhi, at the Tribal Welfare Residential School in Marrikunta, urged students to seize the opportunities being provided by the government. “The government is making significant investments in students’ welfare and future. Students must fully utilize these opportunities to achieve success,” he said.
