    Telangana Governor Praises Efforts to Empower Women Entrepreneurs

    Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma commended the state’s efforts to promote women-led businesses during his visit to WE Hub in Hyderabad on Monday. He highlighted that empowering women entrepreneurs is not only a social necessity but also a key to building economic resilience and sustainable development.

    The Governor was joined by Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu. Together, they interacted with women entrepreneurs and observed the impact of WE Hub’s initiatives. Governor Varma emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for women, stating, “Women’s empowerment is crucial for a sustainable future, and Telangana is committed to providing equal opportunities and a thriving ecosystem for their success.”

    WE Hub, Telangana’s exclusive platform for women entrepreneurs, has been instrumental in providing mentorship, funding access, market linkages, and technological support. The initiative has successfully connected with women from Tier 2 and Tier 3 regions, helping bridge the rural-urban divide and transforming ideas into thriving businesses.

    Minister Sridhar Babu stressed the government’s commitment to economic inclusivity. He noted that programs like Mahila Shakti, Mahalaxmi Schemes, and the Skill University are equipping women with the tools and training necessary to expand their businesses. These initiatives reflect the government’s focus on ensuring that women have the resources they need to succeed.

    During the visit, women entrepreneurs incubated at WE Hub showcased their innovative products. Many traveled from rural areas like Manthani to present their ideas, demonstrating the initiative’s wide-reaching impact beyond urban centers. This highlights WE Hub’s role in fostering a diverse and inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem.

    WE Hub CEO Sita Pallacholla spoke about the broader societal changes the initiative is driving. She explained, “Beyond business growth, we are working to raise awareness about the immense benefits of increasing women’s participation in the workforce.”

    With Telangana’s proactive approach to supporting women entrepreneurs, platforms like WE Hub are reshaping the state’s economic landscape. By providing the necessary support, these initiatives ensure that women entrepreneurs can thrive in an increasingly competitive business environment.
