    Hyderabad: Water levels in the Kaleshwaram project are rising. Officials are working towards their goal of providing water to farmland until the last canal of the SRSP project. From the Lakshmi Barrage in Medigadda Mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpalli district, 23,200 cubic feet per second (cusecs) of water is flowing into the Godavari River. Link-1 and Link-2 have started operating 18 motors continuously to release the water. The Kaleshwaram project is sending water to the SRSP through the Varadkaluva Canal, Saraswati Canal, Parvati Canal, Nandi Canal, and Gayatri Canal. Water is also flowing from the Ramapur Pump House to the Rajeshwara Pet Pump House. In the next two days, water will be released to the Sri Ramsagar Project. Officials have already made arrangements to supply water through 34 gates.

    Lakshmi Barrage is receiving 23,200 cusecs of water. The water level has risen to 96.80 meters. The full reservoir level at Lakshmi Barrage is 100 meters, with a maximum water level of 16.17 TMC (thousand million cubic feet). In the Saraswati Pump House in Peddapalli district, officials are releasing water using six pumps operated by three motors. The Parvati Barrage is receiving 8,793 cusecs of water. The full reservoir level at the barrage is 100 meters, with the current level at 96.80 meters.

    The Kaleshwaram project, which aims to provide irrigation water to farmlands in Telangana, has been successful in increasing water levels. With the continuous efforts of officials, water is being efficiently distributed through various canals and barrages, ensuring that farmers have access to a reliable water supply. This development will greatly benefit the agricultural sector and contribute to the overall growth of the state.
