Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) has reminded residents that only two days remain to take advantage of the One Time Settlement (OTS) Scheme-2024. The board warned on Thursday that customers who fail to pay their pending water bills by the deadline will face penalties and interest.
The State government had already extended the OTS scheme once in response to public requests. However, HMWSSB officials have clarified that there will be no further extensions. They urged residents to settle their dues within the given timeframe to avoid strict actions, which may include disconnection of water connections for those with unpaid bills.
Customers can make payments through various methods, including water board offices, online platforms, Mee-Seva, AP Online centres, and digital payment apps like PhonePe, Google Pay, and Paytm. Other options include NEFT, RTGS, BPPS, and the water board’s official website. Users can also scan the QR code provided by the water board to check their pending dues, the amount to be paid, and any applicable discounts, according to a senior HMWSSB officer.
