The Managing Director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), Sudarshan Reddy, recently inspected construction sites for sewage treatment plants (STP) in Attapur and Mir Alam, as well as the I&Ds in Hasan Nagar.

During the inspection, MD Reddy emphasized the need to expedite the construction work at Attapur and ensure that any delays are addressed promptly to meet project deadlines. He also visited the recently completed Mir Alam STP and surveyed the surrounding areas, identifying points where sewage enters the pond from nearby colonies.

To prevent sewage from entering the pond, MD Reddy instructed that pipe lines around the pond be connected and diverted to the newly-constructed STP. Coordination with the GHMC and Irrigation Departments will be essential for these diversion tasks. Dr. M Satyanarayana, Project Director-2, CGM Sudarshan, GM, other STP officials, and representatives of the construction company were present during the inspection.
