People in Warangal are known for maintaining the dignity and honor of festivals, regardless of religion, according to Commissioner of Police A V Ranganath. He held a peace committee meeting to emphasize the importance of religious harmony in Warangal. The meeting was in preparation for the upcoming Ganesh idol immersion and Milad-un-Nabi on September 28.
The Commissioner urged the peace committee members to engage in constructive dialogue with the local people and report any issues related to disputed sites or hatred to the police. He also advised people not to blindly believe information circulating on social media and to inform the police if they come across any offensive content. The police’s IT wing will handle such matters.
Furthermore, the Commissioner appealed to the Ganesh Utsav Committee members to ensure a peaceful celebration by following the guidelines set by the police. He recommended installing CCTV cameras and taking precautionary measures to prevent power short circuits.
