The District Principal Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, M R Sunitha, has encouraged people to take advantage of free legal aid and services. She explained that the Legal Services Authority is there to help the public with legal support, so everyone should use these services when needed.
On Friday, a rally was held to mark National Legal Services Day. The rally went from the local court to the bus stand and included participation from several lawyers. The main goal of the event was to raise awareness about the availability of legal services. Artists also performed songs to spread the message in a more engaging way.
During the event, the judge stressed that justice is the same for everyone, regardless of whether a person is rich or poor, or what their caste or religion is. She encouraged people, especially in rural areas, to seek free legal aid when they need it.
Additionally, Senior Civil Judge and Legal Authority Cell Secretary, Rajani, spoke about the key goals of the NALSA Act. These include providing free legal services, educating people about welfare laws, and ensuring quick justice through Lok Adalats (people’s courts).
