Wanaparthy District: On Friday morning, the District Collector visited Appayapalli village to check the diabetes screening program. This program is a pilot project by the Medical Health Department. Although the program is currently only in one village, the Deputy District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Sainath Reddy, has been asked to expand it to 100 more villages. The goal is to provide free diabetes testing and medication to those who need it.

The Collector emphasized the importance of conducting blood tests both before and after meals. To do this efficiently, medical tests should start early in the morning. The Collector also instructed the health team to create a plan to test everyone over 30 years old for diabetes across the entire district.
