    Wanaparthy District: On Friday morning, the District Collector visited Appayapalli village to check the diabetes screening program. This program is a pilot project by the Medical Health Department. Although the program is currently only in one village, the Deputy District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), Sainath Reddy, has been asked to expand it to 100 more villages. The goal is to provide free diabetes testing and medication to those who need it.

    The Collector emphasized the importance of conducting blood tests both before and after meals. To do this efficiently, medical tests should start early in the morning. The Collector also instructed the health team to create a plan to test everyone over 30 years old for diabetes across the entire district.

    In addition to the diabetes program, the Collector directed the team to speed up the survey in the 10th ward of Wanaparthy Municipality and Anjanagiri Gram Panchayats. These areas are part of another pilot project involving digital cards.

    Earlier in the morning, the Additional Collector, Sanchit Gangwar, along with his team, carried out a house-to-house survey. He was told to finish the survey in two days, ensuring that no house is missed.

    Several key officials accompanied the Collector during these activities. These included Additional Collector Sanchit Gangwar, Municipal Commissioner Poorna Chander, Tehsildar Ramesh Reddy, MPDO P. Raghava, Deputy Medical Health Officer Sainath Reddy, Program Officer Ramchander Rao, and others.
