Wanaparthy: The issues faced by the residents of the Double Bedroom Colony on Chityal Road will be resolved soon, according to Wanaparthy municipal chairman, Puttapakala Mahesh, and vice-chairman, Pakanati Krishnaiah. They made this promise after attending a special meeting organized by the colony’s residents on Sunday.

During the meeting, the residents shared their concerns, especially about the severe water shortage in the colony. They mentioned that the water from the Mission Bhageerata scheme only reaches blocks one to nine, while the other 18 blocks are left without water.

The residents also expressed their worries about the lack of streetlights in the area. They said they feel unsafe at night because the darkness attracts scorpions and poisonous snakes. Additionally, overgrown plants around their homes are providing shelter for these dangerous creatures. They requested the sanitation staff to remove the waste plants as soon as possible.
