    The Ranga Reddy district collector and returning officer released a formal report on Tuesday with revised polling percentages for the Chevella Lok Sabha segment. The new report showed a 56.40% turnout, an increase from the previous report of 55.45%. Overall, there was a 3.2% increase in polling compared to the 2019 elections.

    The fresh report also included revised polling percentages for all seven Assembly constituencies in the segment. Chevella constituency had the highest turnout at 71.83%, followed by Pargi at 67.01%. Other constituencies had varying percentages, with Serilingampally recording the lowest at 43.91%.

    In Seriligampally, despite having over seven lakh voters, only 43.91% turned out to vote. Rajendranagar also had a turnout of 54.12%. Prohibitory orders were issued in the area surrounding the strong room and counting center in Chevella to ensure security for the EVMs used in the polling.

    The strong room was sealed in the presence of election observers, candidates, and their agents. The district collectors supervised the security arrangements at the strong room, which was under strict CCTV surveillance.
