    Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) organized a voter awareness program at the Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society campus on Thursday. The program aimed to encourage unregistered voters to register and understand the importance of voting.

    The GHMC team, led by V Prashanthi (Deputy Commissioner, Khairtabad, GHMC), helped new voters register and clarified doubts for existing registered voters. They also established Electoral Literacy Clubs in various educational institutions. Over 600 students attended the event.

    Mangathayaru, Joint Commissioner of Finance and Election, GHMC, addressed the students and staff. He encouraged them to register as voters and emphasized the power of voting. He also advised them to visit the Election Commission website for online enrollment.

    The Zonal Commissioner interacted with students and answered their questions about voting machines. They explained the importance of casting votes and the rights of voters.

    Dr. Anupama Koneru, Principal of Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, commended GHMC’s efforts. Sanjay Singh and Hari Shanker, Assistant Commissioners of GHMC, along with other officers, were also present.
