    In a shocking incident, a woman’s body was taken on a two-wheeler to her village, Chittempadu, because an autorickshaw driver refused to transport the body from the hospital in Visakhapatanam where she had passed away while receiving treatment.

    The incident occurred in Girishikara village of Shringavarapu Kota in Vizianagaram. It is unfortunate that despite India gaining independence 76 years ago, many communities like this one still lack proper infrastructure and basic facilities. This has led to difficulties and even loss of life due to poor road conditions following illnesses.

    Just a week ago, a six-month-old baby passed away, and now the baby’s mother, Gangamma, has also died from an illness in Chittempadu village. The tribals in the area have expressed frustration that despite changes in government, their villages still do not have proper roads.
