Miscreants have attacked the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express train three times since it began services. On April 6, the train was delayed by four hours and rescheduled to leave at 9.45 am due to damage caused by stone pelting. This also led to the train’s departure from Secunderabad being rescheduled from 3 pm to 7 pm. On April 7, the train’s departure from Vizag was rescheduled from 5.45 am to 9 am due to the late running of its pairing train. The C8 coach’s window pane was broken during one attack while the train was going for maintenance from Vizag station to Kancharapalem’s coach complex. The train has previously been attacked twice, once before it began operations and once in February while travelling from Secunderabad to Visakhapatnam. Three people were taken into custody in connection with the first incident.
