The Vice-Chairman of the Telangana State Planning Board, B Vinod Kumar, stated that Telangana will achieve the Railway Coach Factory for Kazipet by exerting pressure on the Centre. Kumar released a statement about his visit to South Korea, criticizing the Central government for claiming that there is no demand for coach factories in the country, despite setting up factories in Maharashtra and Gujarat. He emphasized that the people of Warangal district are displeased with the injustice and are prepared to teach a lesson to the BJP.
According to Kumar, the people of Warangal have been demanding a coach factory in Kazipet for a long time. In 1980, PV Narasimha Rao promised to establish a coach factory in Kazipet by 1982. Surveys were conducted, and plans were made to acquire thousands of acres in nearby areas. However, due to the passing of PM Indira Gandhi and the rise of PM Rajiv Gandhi, the coach factory remained a dream.
