The BJP candidate for Khammam, Tandra Vinod Kumar, took part in a large bike rally in Kothagudem during his first visit to the coal town on Thursday. The rally, organized by district party president KV Ranga Kiran, saw supporters riding bikes from Nayakangudem to the district party office in Kothagduem.
During the rally, Rao greeted people along the way and heard slogans of BJP workers echoing in the district center. Addressing a press conference later, Rao emphasized his vision to serve the people with his 30 years of experience in business, technology, and service sectors.
Ranga Kiran urged all party workers to work hard for Vinod Rao’s victory, while Rao announced the preparation of a vision document with input from experts who have studied at prestigious institutions like the London School of Economics and IIMs. He pledged to focus on developing industries to create more job opportunities and to regularize house titles for the people of Kothagudem.
Rao also shared plans for constructing an industrial cluster and an airport on 600 acres of land owned by the Sea. He highlighted the Central government’s funding of approximately Rs 12,000 crores for various development projects in villages and towns, including national highways, Vaikuntha Dham, farmers’ platforms, CC roads, side canals, sports grounds, and welfare schemes under NREGS funds.
The rally was attended by Parliament Convenor Namburi Ramalingeswara Rao, Co-Convenor Zillarapu Srinivas, and other party members.
