YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Rajya Sabha member V Vijayasai Reddy has urged the Union Government to quickly finish building permanent campuses for central educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh. During a discussion on the Central Universities Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha, Reddy highlighted that although the Union Government had established most central educational institutions, including a tribal university, in the state as promised in the AP Reorganisation Act, there has been a delay in constructing permanent campuses for them. As a result, these institutions are still operating from temporary campuses, hindering their ability to expand courses and engage in other academic activities. Reddy called on Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan to prioritize the completion of permanent campuses and work towards ensuring high standards of education in these institutions.
