The daughter of PJR and Khairtabad Congress candidate, P Vijaya Reddy, expressed her desire to bring back the “golden days” of her father’s rule. She believes that the Congress party is gaining momentum and that people are ready to vote for them. During her campaign, she promised to complete unfinished projects and work for the welfare of the poor.

Vijaya Reddy explained how her experience as a corporator helped her understand the problems faced by the people. Everywhere she went, people shared their grievances with her and expressed confidence that only the Congress party can save them. She mentioned that after PJR’s death, the constituency of Khairatabad saw no development and is plagued with civic problems. Women and middle-class people are particularly affected. She criticized the present MLA, Danam Nagendra, for neglecting the people and encroaching public property.

Vijaya Reddy also highlighted the encroachment of 25 acres of land in Film Nagar, which ended up in the hands of private players due to an understanding between BRS and BJP. She compared this to the housing units provided to the poor by PJR, emphasizing the difference in governance between Congress and BRS.

In addition to Khairtabad, Vijaya Reddy believes that Congress is also gaining ground in the Jubilee Hills constituency. She mentioned the joining of Navin Yadav, a strong force in the constituency, which will contribute to Congress’ strength and ensure the victory of Azaruddin. People in Jubilee Hills are unhappy with the sitting MLA’s alleged acts of land grabbing.
