    Hyderabad: Sunitha Reddy, the State Vice President of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), emphasized on Sunday that young women should draw inspiration from the courage of India’s brave women, alongside focusing on education and careers.

    Addressing a gathering near the Ashtalakshmi Temple, Sunitha Reddy encouraged young women to cultivate both sensitivity and bravery. The event was part of a meeting organized by Durga Vahini, the youth wing of the VHP. Around 1,500 young women participated in a rally that started near the temple and passed through prominent areas such as Chaitanyapuri, Kothapet, and Victoria Memorial metro station. The rally, adorned with saffron flags, resonated with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram.’ Adding to the visual appeal, nearly 100 children dressed as Bharat Mata and historical women warriors.

    The rally attracted significant public attention, with people lining the streets to watch. Later, a public meeting was held at the Ashtalakshmi Temple premises. During the meeting, young women showcased a ‘Shakti Pradarshana’ performance, which impressed the audience. They also paid tributes to portraits of Bharat Mata, Rani Durgavati, and Ahilyabai Holkar, concluding with a puja.

    Speaking at the event, Sunitha Reddy expressed concerns about young women adopting a chaotic lifestyle under the guise of modernity. She urged them to live responsibly, keeping the interests of the country, religion, and society in mind. According to her, education should be complemented by values and a strong personality to meet the needs of the present generation.

    Vani Sakkubai, the State Convener of Durga Vahini, introduced the ‘Matru Vandana’ programme to honor the spirit of brave women from history. She emphasized the importance of self-confidence for young women to handle challenging situations in daily life. Additionally, she reminded the audience not to lose sight of family values, even while pursuing higher education and modern aspirations.
