Former MP V Hanumantha Rao believes that there is a strong wave of support for the Congress party across the country. He predicts that the party, along with the INDIA alliance, will win a majority of seats in the upcoming elections. Rao recently returned from campaigning in Uttar Pradesh for Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli.
Rao praised Rahul Gandhi for his efforts to connect with the people by walking thousands of kilometers across the country. He contrasted this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approach, claiming that Gandhi understands the people’s problems better. Rao expressed confidence that the Congress will win in both Amethi and Rae Bareli.
Rao commended Gandhi for choosing to contest in Rae Bareli, saying it shows his readiness to face challenges and his confidence in winning. He criticized Modi for his negative campaign against the Congress leadership. Rao also mentioned that farmers in Uttar Pradesh are unhappy with Modi’s administration and are eager to vote out the BJP.
As the 33rd death anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi approaches on May 20, Rao shared that the State Congress unit will pay respects to the party leader. He noted that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and other party members have been invited to observe this important day.
