Former MP V Hanumantha Rao expressed his desire to contest from the Khammam Lok Sabha seat and felt sidelined within the party. He spoke to the media at Gandhi Bhavan and emphasized that the locals in Khammam want him to run for office. Rao made it clear that he will not back down and is determined to compete in the upcoming elections.
After recovering from a brief illness, Rao held his first press conference and seemed ready to fight. He criticized the party leadership for overlooking senior members like himself when selecting candidates. He also raised concerns about former members of other parties being given priority when it came to ticket distribution.
Additionally, Rao called on the government to drop the cases filed against him during the previous BRS government. He is determined to stand up for what he believes in and is prepared to challenge the status quo.
