Senior Journalist Anil Kumar Passes Away
Hyderabad: Senior journalist Anil Kumar, aged 55, passed away on the night of January 12. Anil was a principal correspondent with Telangana Today and had a long career in journalism, working with various publications in Hyderabad.
Anil began his career as a reporter at News Time in 1994. Over the years, he worked with organizations such as The New Indian Express, Swatantra Vartha, AP Times, Daily Hindi Milap, and TNIE in Chennai. His dedication and work ethic made him a respected figure in the journalistic community.
Anil was on a holiday with his wife Asha and daughter Rashmi in Gokarna, Karnataka, when he fell ill. After visiting the Shri Murudeshwara Temple, he complained of chest pain and was taken to a hospital in Bhatkal. Despite receiving treatment in the ICU, he passed away on January 12.
A resident of Safilguda, Anil is survived by his wife Asha, daughter Rashmi, and son Rahul. His funeral will take place after 11 a.m. at the Alwal crematorium.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed his shock and sadness over Anil’s untimely demise. The Chief Minister extended heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and acknowledged Anil Kumar’s significant contributions to journalism.
