On Wednesday, he inspected a modern wayside market that cost 2.8 crore, along with Additional Collector Sanchit Gangwar. He asked the marketing department officers and the municipal commissioner to make sure the market, which has 78 shops and facilities like toilets, a canteen, drinking water, fans, and a playground for children, is put to use.

Surabhi emphasized that wholesale vegetable traders and farmers who grow and sell their own vegetables and fruits should be given free shops in the market. He also stated that selling vegetables on the roadside in the town will no longer be allowed.

Later, Surabhi visited the integrated market building, which cost 19.5 crore and was built on 2.4 acres. He directed officials to allocate free shops to vegetable and fruit traders there as well.

He suggested that mutton and chicken traders move into the market shops, which have all necessary facilities, instead of selling outside. Surabhi wanted the 81 shops to be allocated based on market value and mentioned that there are suitable facilities for setting up supermarkets, which can be rented out to interested traders.
