    Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad has made many changes over the past two years under Vice-Chancellor Prof Katta Narasimha Reddy. The university now conducts pre-audit and post-audit checks on financial payments to prevent wastage and unnecessary expenses. They have also created mini-libraries and study rooms in girls’ hostels.

    The university has opened three new constituent colleges and allowed over twelve affiliated colleges to become autonomous, with proposals for five more awaiting approval. Infrastructure development includes two seminar and conference halls, a swimming pool, walking tracks, and basketball and tennis courts. They also installed a weather station donated by the City University of New York.

    JNTU-H has digital classrooms and an e-Content Studio, and organized an All-India Conference of Vice-Chancellors to discuss improvements to the college’s structure. They revised syllabi and implemented aspects of the National Education Policy-2020 to enhance employability skills.

    The university offers dual degree programs, courses through online education, and collaborative programs with foreign universities. In NIRF rankings, JNTU-H is ranked 76 in the Engineering Stream of NIRF Rankings 2022. JNTUH Golden Jubilee Year 2021-2022 was celebrated by erecting a Golden Jubilee Pylon.
