Farmers in Rangareddy are being encouraged to improve their cultivation skills to match international standards. Dr. B Neeraja Prabhakar, the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), believes that growing vegetable crops to these high standards can lead to significant profits for farmers in the state.
The university recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Lemon Chilli Farm in Hyderabad. This MoU aims to provide technical guidance and support from the university to enhance the yield and productivity of exotic vegetable crops. It also emphasizes the importance of maintaining quality produce and offers cooperation with the farm in conducting horticulture industrial attachment programs for students.
During the signing of the MoU, Dr. Prabhakar highlighted the university’s efforts to improve growing methods and standards for vegetables. These efforts are aimed at helping farmers achieve promising profits in both Indian and foreign markets.
Various university officials, including the registrar, director of research, dean of horticulture, comptroller, director of extension, dean of PG studies, dean of student affairs, controller of examinations, and dean of student affairs, were present at the event.
