    State Irrigation & Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, along with District Collector S Venkatarao, visited Huzurnagar, Kodad, and Suryapet constituencies. They inspected the Town Hall and discussed upcoming projects during a meeting.

    During the meeting, Uttam announced a budget of Rs 1 crore for the beautification and development of the Town Hall. This includes raising the compound wall height, constructing a kitchen, installing a new sound system, and providing parking facilities. The goal is to make the Town Hall accessible for celebrations by small and middle-class families.

    A budget of Rs 5.30 crore has also been sanctioned for major road projects in Huzurnagar, along with funding for pipeline construction, drain repairs, and swift completion of library building works. Additionally, funds have been allocated for the completion of remaining ring road works, addressing drinking water problems, and inspecting and repairing bore wells.

    Financial allocations were made for cultural events, including funds for the Mahashivratri fair in Mellacheruvu and the construction of Shaadi Khanas in Muslim Bazar, Rampuram, and Idgaga in Kodad. The Minister also approved Rs 50 lakh for improving the Christian cemetery at Ramaswamy Gutta.

    Efforts were made to address legal infrastructure needs, with plans to allocate 5 acres for a court complex. Review meetings on NREGS works and drinking water initiatives were conducted to ensure adherence to government regulations and provide valuable services to the public. Concerns about potential drinking water scarcity due to drought were also addressed.

    Officials from various departments and stakeholders attended the events. During the Kodad tour, the Minister visited Ramalyam and Idgah before inaugurating a BHAROSA centre and SHE teams office.
