Uttam couple’s prospects may be spoiled by ‘non-local’ tag

The “non-local” tag could hurt the chances of N Uttam Kumar Reddy and N Padmavati, who are running for office in Huzurnagar and Kodad constituencies respectively. Uttam’s track record in Kodad is being questioned, as he did not initiate any major projects during his time as a minister. The BRS is highlighting KCR’s vision for development and how Uttam and his wife failed to bring any projects from the Centre or improve infrastructure in the segments. During the Congress rule, there were issues with road networks, drinking water scarcity, and open drainage in the constituencies. The BRS claims to have improved civic infrastructure, medical and education facilities, and access to marginalized communities since coming to power.
