The palace has a rich history as the residence and seat of power for the Nizams of Hyderabad State from 1720 to 1948. Today, it serves as a museum. Garcetti was previously the Mayor of Los Angeles and was sworn in as the US Ambassador to India in March. During his visit, he enjoyed a delicious meal and had a wonderful conversation at the iconic palace.
