Strong winds uprooted trees and electricity poles near Jakhau and Mandvi towns of Kutch. Some tin sheets and plastic shades were also blown away. No loss of life has been reported so far, but three people were injured in Devbhoomi Dwarka district and are being treated. The Gujarat police, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the Army are working together to remove the uprooted trees and electric poles in different parts of Dwarka.

About one lakh people living in vulnerable areas in the coastal districts of Gujarat have been evacuated due to an alert from the IMD about the potential damage of the cyclone. This is the second powerful storm to hit the state in three years after ‘Tauktae’ in May 2021. For relief and rescue operations, 15 NDRF teams, 12 State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams, and personnel from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, and Border Security Force have been deployed.
