    The Telangana State Information and Public Relations (I and PR) Commissioner, Arvind Kumar, announced that the government will be organizing a free medical camp for all accredited women journalists for ten days starting from March 29. The camp will be held at the State I and PR department’s head office in Masab Tank, Hyderabad. This initiative was proposed by women journalists during an award programme organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day, where they requested the State Municipal Administration Minister, KT Rama Rao, to conduct a free medical camp. The Minister responded positively, leading to the organization of this comprehensive health checkup.

    The medical camp will include a range of diagnostic tests, such as blood tests (CBP), blood sugar, diabetic tests, lipid profile, thyroid, calcium, urine tests, vitamin B12, D3, ECG, X-ray, ultrasonography, mammogram, pap smear, screening tests, medical officer examination, eye screening, dental examinations, gynecology examinations, etc. All reports will be submitted on the same day. The camp will be open from 7.00 am to 2.00 pm.

    The I and PR commissioner has urged all state-level accredited women journalists and accredited women journalists from Hyderabad and joint Rangareddy districts to take advantage of this opportunity. Additionally, free medical camps will also be organized for accredited women journalists in the district headquarters. This initiative aims to promote the health and wellbeing of women journalists who play a crucial role in the dissemination of information and news.
