Hyderabad: The School of Management Studies at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) teamed up with the Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI) to hold an Investor Awareness Programme on Financial Wisdom on Friday.
The chief guest for the event was Venkat Nageswar Chalasani, the chief executive of AMFI. He was joined by Surya Kant Sharma, a senior consultant at AMFI, who served as the keynote speaker. The programme saw attendance from undergraduate students, faculty members, PhD scholars, and non-teaching staff.
Venkat Nageswar Chalasani stressed the importance of saving, planning, and exploring various investment options. He highlighted the need for financial wisdom in making sound planning and investment decisions.
Surya Kant Sharma encouraged young students and scholars to start investing now. He provided detailed information on different mutual fund options and discussed the three key aspects that should guide investment decisions: risk appetite, investment security, and individual goals.
