The Shamshabad International Airport in Hyderabad received a bomb threat. An unidentified person sent a mail to the control room, saying that there was a bomb at the airport set to explode at 7 pm. The bomb squad, dog squad, and CISF local police were immediately alerted and conducted a thorough inspection of the entire airport. Luckily, no bomb was found.
After the inspection, the airport authorities received another mail from a different email address. The sender admitted that their child had sent the previous threatening mail while playing with the phone and apologized for the incident.
The airport officials have filed a complaint with the local police, and an investigation is underway to find the person responsible for sending the threatening mail.
