The Skill Development Centre of the School of Life Sciences at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) received funding of Rs 17.76 lakh from the Science Academies’ Education Programme to conduct a summer school for underprivileged students. An additional Rs 10 lakh is expected to cover consumables.
Graduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students in biology from disadvantaged areas may not receive comprehensive laboratory training, hindering their competitiveness in academia and industry.
