    The University of Hyderabad (UoH) and the Fernandez Foundation have joined hands to offer a Birth Care Practitioner (Birth Doula) online certificate course. The deadline for applications is February 29. This course aims to provide candidates with the skills and knowledge needed to support families during pregnancy, childbirth, and the immediate postpartum period.

    Candidates who have completed classes 10 and 12, have good English communication skills, and are passionate about assisting pregnant couples are eligible to apply. Once registered, candidates have two years to complete the course, which includes six months of training and providing support during at least six births.

    The collaboration between the Fernandez Foundation and the University of Hyderabad was formalized through a three-year Memorandum of Understanding signed in January last year. This partnership aims to enhance the quality of care provided to pregnant women and their families.
