Illegal Occupation of 2BHK Houses Found in Mahabubnagar

Authorities have discovered major irregularities in the allotment of double-bedroom houses in Indiramma Colony, which is within the Mahabubnagar Urban Development Authority (MUDA) limits. An official investigation found that 98 houses in Survey No. 380 (Maulali Gutta) were illegally occupied by people who did not qualify for them.

These houses are meant for Below Poverty Line (BPL) families and homeless individuals, as per government orders (GO Nos. 4, 10, and 12). However, officials found that many ineligible individuals, including government employees, pensioners, and property owners, had obtained houses without proper documents.

Following this discovery, MUDA has sent notices to the illegal occupants, asking them to vacate the houses within seven days. Legal action has also been started against those who obtained the houses fraudulently. Officials have warned that if the illegal occupants do not leave voluntarily, they will be forcibly removed through strict legal measures.

Authorities are also accepting complaints from the public about ineligible individuals who have occupied these houses. People who want to raise objections can submit their complaints within seven days at the Urban Tahsildar’s office. The list of ineligible occupants is available for public reference at the Municipal Office and Tahsildar’s Office.

The district administration has assured that once these houses are vacated, they will be given to deserving beneficiaries as per government rules.
