The Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister, K.T. Rama Rao, has opened a water treatment plant at the Jawaharnagar Dump Yard. The 2000 KLD Legacy Leachate Treatment Plant is a significant investment in environmental sustainability and will help tackle water contamination and pollution.
The Minister has set a deadline of June 1 for all pending works related to flood control to be completed. This is to prevent low lying areas from being submerged during the upcoming rainy season. The Minister held a meeting with elected representatives and officials to ensure that all tasks are completed before the monsoon season begins.
The Strategic Nala Development Programme (SNDP) was also discussed at the meeting, with a detailed review of ongoing works and their status. The Minister conducted an inquiry with each MLA to ascertain the status of SNDP works in their respective constituencies.
K.T. Rama Rao urged officials to take decisive action against agencies that are failing to meet deadlines and emphasized the need to expedite any pending works. The MLAs were instructed to conduct regular site visits to ensure timely completion of projects, holding both officials and agencies accountable for their commitments.
