The Telangana High Court heard arguments on two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) related to the allotment of 850 acres of land to IMG Bharata Pvt Ltd at a low price by the former Andhra Pradesh government. Vedula Venkataramana, representing IMG Bharata, informed the court about their challenge to the previous court’s decision and requested a ten-day extension to review the PILs.

On the other side, Gandra Mohan Rao, representing the petitioners in the PILs, asked for independent consideration of the cases since IMG Bharata’s appeal in the Supreme Court is separate from the PILs. After hearing both arguments, Chief Justice Aradhe decided to adjourn the PILs until April 1 due to the related nature of the cases and the ongoing appeal in the Supreme Court.

The PILs were filed by ABK Prasad, a social activist, and T Sriranga Rao, a lawyer, seeking a CBI investigation into the allocation of government land in LB Nagar to IMG Bharata for sports academies development.
