    A man was seriously injured after a farm owner attacked him for cutting mango leaves without permission in Krishna district.

    Cops in Bhupalpally, Inspector Ram Narasimha Reddy and Sub-Inspector V Naresh, will be honored by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao at the Independence Day celebrations. They will receive special awards for their bravery during the recent floods. The Superintendent of Police, Pulla Karunakar, announced this on Monday.

    According to Karunakar, both officers showed tremendous courage in saving lives during the floods. Naresh and his team rescued two people who were stranded in the middle of the Manair river. Ram Narasimha Reddy recovered the decomposed body of Gorre Odireddy from Moranchapalle who was swept away in the floodwaters.
