The man was found with a knife but did not possess a firearm. He was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon and was detained under the Mental Health Act on Wednesday. The police conducted a controlled explosion as a precaution, but there were no injuries reported. The incident is not believed to be terror-related. King Charles III was not in the palace at the time of the incident.
