Train Terminal Change Announced in Hyderabad
The South Central Railway (SCR) has decided to change the terminal for train number 17023/17024 due to ongoing redevelopment work at Secunderabad railway station. This move aims to ease congestion at the station and ensure smooth train operations.
According to SCR officials, Kacheguda station has been chosen as the new terminal. It is an important and well-equipped coaching terminal in Hyderabad. The station has essential passenger facilities such as foot overbridges (FOBs), lifts, escalators, and battery carts. Many express trains already start and end their journeys at Kacheguda, and it is well connected to various modes of transport.
As part of this change, the Tungabhadra Express (Secunderabad – Kurnool City – Secunderabad) will now operate from Kacheguda instead of Secunderabad. This change will take effect from April 10.
