**Karimnagar:** Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao announced that the government will decide on the Rythu Bharosa scheme after gathering feedback from farmers across Telangana.

The meeting was attended by District In-charge Minister and Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, Minister Nageswara Rao, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, IT Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, along with MPs, MLAs, and Collectors.

Minister Nageswara Rao emphasized that the government prioritizes farmers, even during financial difficulties. He mentioned plans to implement a crop insurance scheme to support farmers who have lost crops. The government will cover the insurance costs.

He highlighted the importance of oil palm cultivation in Karimnagar district, aiming for Telangana to lead in this area. He pointed out that only 3.9 lakh metric tonnes of oil palm are currently produced, while the requirement is 100 lakh metric tonnes. He encouraged farmers to focus on oil palm cultivation for higher profits.

The Congress government is committed to fulfilling its election promises, including a loan waiver of Rs 2 lakh. Sridhar Babu stated that despite financial challenges, the government waived off Rs 2 lakh in loans as promised by Rahul Gandhi. Crop loans amounting to Rs 31,000 crore are being waived off.

The opposition has been making baseless accusations, but Sridhar Babu noted that previous governments did not focus on farmers. He urged a change in their attitude.

In-charge Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy mentioned that the farmer loan waiver scheme will be historic. On July 18, Rs 7,000 crore was deposited into the accounts of 11 lakh farmers. He highlighted that no previous loan waiver had been this extensive in India’s history. The government has honored promises made by Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, waiving off Rs 31,000 crore in seven months, compared to Rs 25,000 crore in 10 years by previous rulers.

Srinivas Reddy advised farmers not to believe the opposition’s misinformation about Rythu Bharosa. He pointed out that past rulers made decisions behind closed doors.

Congress will implement the Rythu Bharosa scheme based on farmers’ suggestions. Farmers who file IT returns will also be eligible for Rythu Bharosa.

Minister Prabhakar assured that the Rythu Bharosa Scheme will be implemented according to farmers’ aspirations. Input from farmers, leaders of farmers’ associations, intellectuals, and political leaders will be considered. He urged opposition parties to stop misleading people.
