Elaborate preparations are being made for the Navratri Brahmotsavams of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, which will take place from October 15 to 23, 2023. The Ankurarpanam will be held on October 14. This was announced by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) executive officer, AV Dharma Reddy.
During the Navaratri Brahmotsavams, certain privileged darshans such as senior citizens, physically challenged individuals, and parents with infants will be cancelled. On October 19, for the Garuda Vahana Seva, two-wheelers will not be allowed on the Ghat roads.
The TTD will perform various sevas for the presiding deity during the festivities, including Pushpaka Vimanam on October 20, Golden Chariot on October 22, and Chakrasnanam on October 23.
Due to the expected large number of devotees on October 18 to witness the Garuda Vahana Seva, there are discussions to advance the timing of the Vahana Seva on October 19 for the convenience of pilgrims. The TTD is in talks with the chief priests of the Tirumala temple regarding this.
The district collector, Venkatramana Reddy, and SP Parameshwar Reddy have also assured their support to the TTD for the smooth conduct of the Navaratri Brahmotsavams. A detailed review meeting has already taken place to discuss the arrangements made by each department.
