In Hyderabad, Bandru Shoba Rani, the chairperson of the Telangana State Women’s Co-Operative Development Corporation (TSWCDC), strongly criticized comments made about women using free travel on RTC buses under the Mahalakshmi scheme. She demanded that former minister K T Rama Rao apologize publicly for his remarks.
Shoba Rani expressed her anger in a media statement, accusing K T Rama Rao (KTR) of having biased views and trying to impose these views on others. She warned that if he continues making such statements, women might react strongly against him.
Additionally, the PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee) called for protests against KTR’s comments, urging people across the state to burn his effigy as a sign of disapproval.
