The TSUTF State Committee has urged the Telangana government to fulfill the promises made to employees and teachers in its election manifesto. Teacher MLC Alugubelli Narsi Reddy stated that even after 15 months of the new government taking power, these promises have not been implemented. This has led to growing dissatisfaction among employees and teachers.

Speaking at the TSUTF State Committee meeting on Sunday, which was chaired by TSUTF State President Chava Ravi, Narsi Reddy pointed out that 20 months have passed since the last Pay Revision Commission (PRC) expired. The government had promised to implement a better PRC within six months of coming to power, but this has not happened. He also highlighted the difficulties faced by employees and teachers due to delays in salary payments, pending arrears, GPF, TSGLI surrender leave bills, medical expenses, and retirement benefits.

Narsi Reddy criticized the government for not paying the dearness allowance (DA) every six months and failing to abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) as promised. He urged employees and teachers to prepare for protests to achieve their demands.

The TSUTF state president and general secretary also demanded that the five pending DAs be announced immediately. They criticized the government for not honoring its commitment to clear various pending dues by March. The committee strongly opposed the government’s decision to delay payments further by setting a 16-month deadline. They warned that if the government does not take action soon, they will launch a protest movement.

In addition to financial issues, the committee emphasized the need to abolish CPS and implement the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) immediately, as per the Center’s memo 57 for the 2003 DSCs. They also called for changes to the school timetable to avoid problems for students in residential schools from the next academic year.

Other demands included upgrading and promoting Pandit and PET posts, improving job positions in tribal welfare schools, and clearing service rules to fill supervisory roles such as Deputy EO, MEO posts, Diet Lecturers, and Lecturers. The committee urged the government to take immediate action to address these concerns.
