The Election Commission of India (ECI) has taken action against B Manohar, the Managing Director of the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC), for violating the Model Code of Conduct (MCC). The ECI has suspended Manohar and initiated departmental proceedings against him. Additionally, his Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Y Satyanarayana, has been terminated. The action was taken after a complaint was received stating that Manohar and Satyanarayana had accompanied Tourism Minister V Srinivas Gaud during a visit to Tirumala on October 15 and 16.

The ECI carefully reviewed the report submitted by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) and confirmed that Manohar and Satyanarayana had indeed violated the instructions issued by the Commission. According to the rules, government officials should not associate with ministers or engage in election campaigns during an election tour.
